In 2010, after already having nearly twenty years in the fireplace industry, business owner Steve Scholz decided to open a fireplace shop in Maldon High Street. Having been a self employed Gas Safe & HETAS registered fireplace installer for the previous ten years he felt it was time to broaden out the business in to the retail sector.

Ten years on and after a lot of hard work Maldon Fireplace Centre was established as one of the leading fireplace retailers in the area selling all products relating to the business from many of the leading suppliers within the industry. With a wealth of knowledge gained over the years Steve has been able to offer an exceptional level of advice combined with an aim to offer outstanding service. In 2019 Steve and his wife Yvette moved from Maldon, a town both of them had always lived in, and move to the town of Halesworth in Suffolk. Although the plan was always to still do something within the fireplace business it wasn’t until March of 2020 that Steve decided to remain in retail and secured the premises on Halesworth Business Park where the showroom is now based

The advent of the Corona virus meant that the new showroom was fitted out through April and early May 2020 and it opened at the start of June.

Now with over thirty years in the business Steve is bringing his expertise to customers in Halesworth and the surrounding area. Previous clients of Maldon Fireplace Centre should be aware that we are still offer to carry out service work on the many installation we have done over the previous ten years.
